Beth Ashford set up Little Fishes in Braunton during the summer of 2002.  Having recently moved to Braunton from Warwickshire, she had quickly realised that the village was the perfect spot to bring a long-standing dream to life - to start her own business and set up a play centre.

Little Fishes quickly grew beyond being a soft-play centre and developed into the full child care and nursery provider that it is today.  Beth developed the business by herself (with the help of husband Craig and a dedicated team of staff at the nursery) and is now embracing the challenge of setting up a second branch in Fremington.

Beth has two children of her own, both of whom are happy customers of Little Fishes, and she and her family live locally in Braunton.  She has completed her NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Childcare and Education and is fully qualified in First Aid, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and fire-fighting and fire protection.  Beth has also recently completed courses in Inclusion : Children at Early Years Action, FSC : Planning for the Foundation Stage Curriculum and Birth to 3 Matters course entitled ‘An Overview of Working with Parents and Carers.  Beth also regularly attends appropriate management workshops and seminars.

In her spare time Beth enjoys surfing and spending time with her family.
